Hosted Neurizon Leadership Roundtable on 8 October 2026, introducing the Company's new CEO and
outlining clinical, regulatory and corporate priorities ahead of the anticipated HEALEY ALS Platform Trial
topline readout.
28 October 2026 – Melbourne, Australia: Neurizon® Therapeutics Limited (ASX: NUZ, OTCQB: NUZTF) (“Neurizon”
or “the Company”), a late clinical-stage biotech company dedicated to advancing treatments for neurodegenerative
diseases, is pleased to provide its Quarterly Activities Report and Appendix 4C for the period ended 30 September
2026 (Q1 FY2027).
The September quarter marked an important transition for Neurizon as the Company completed enrolment in its
lead clinical development program and advanced its regulatory, operational and financial preparations ahead of
the anticipated HEALEY ALS Platform Trial topline results in late Q2 CY2027.
With all 250 participants enrolled in Regimen I, Neurizon's focus has shifted towards continued clinical execution
and readiness for the next stages of development. The quarter also saw the award of NIH-funding for an Expanded
Access Program for NUZ-001, the appointment of Dr Chris Bremer as Chief Executive Officer and further capital
management initiatives aimed at supporting the Company's development priorities.
Subsequent to quarter end, written feedback from the US FDA provided additional clarity to inform Neurizon's
regulatory planning, including its strategy to evaluate Regimen I as a potential registrational study for NUZ-001.

www.neurizon.com
Suite 2, Level 11, 385 Bourke Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000 Tel: +61 3 9692 7222
Chief Executive Officer, Dr Chris Bremer said: “I am delighted to have joined Neurizon at such an important stage
of its development, with the Company entering a period of significant clinical and regulatory activity.
The September quarter delivered the milestones that define the path to our pivotal readout. Completing enrolment
in Regimen I of the HEALEY ALS Platform Trial represents a major achievement for the program. With 250
participants now enrolled, our focus is on disciplined trial execution and preparing the organisation for the
anticipated topline readout in late Q4 FY2027 (late Q2 CY2027).
The NIH’s decision to fund an Expanded Access Program represents an important development for NUZ-001
program and our partnership with the Healey & AMG Center. It is expected to broaden access to NUZ-001 for
eligible people living with ALS who cannot participate in clinical trials, while providing opportunities to collect
additional long-term safety and clinical data.
Alongside these developments, we have also strengthened our balance sheet through non-dilutive R&D funding
and the partial redemption of the Obsidian convertible notes. My immediate priority is disciplined execution as
Regimen I progresses towards topline results, while ensuring Neurizon is ready for the regulatory, partnering and
commercial pathways that may follow."
Clinical progress:
The Company achieved a number of significant clinical milestones in the history of the NUZ-001 program during the
quarter. Neurizon announced that the final participant had completed baseline assessments and commenced
treatment, with 250 participants enrolled across 78 activated clinical trial sites throughout the US.
Enrolment was completed in under five months from first participant dosing, the fastest site activation and
enrolment of any regimen in HEALEY history, following expansion of the participant cohort from 160 participants.
The expanded study maintains its original statistical power, with no change to Neurizon’s funding requirement
through to topline readout, which will now occur in late Q2 CY2027.
Regimen I is a double-blind, placebo-controlled study in which participants are randomised 3:1 to NUZ-001 or
placebo. Participants are now progressing through the planned 36-week randomised controlled treatment phase,
followed by a 36-week Active Treatment Extension. The primary endpoint is the change in ALSFRS-R and survival
from baseline to Week 36.
Regulatory progress:
Subsequent to the end of the period, Neurizon received written feedback from the FDA in response to its Type C
meeting request for NUZ-001. The FDA noted that positive results from the Phase 2/3 HEALEY ALS Platform Trial
could support a traditional approval pathway and the trial may serve as the single registrational study for an NDA
for NUZ-001, subject to the results and supporting evidence meeting the requirements for substantial evidence of
effectiveness.
The FDA also agreed with Neurizon’s approach to the measurement of plasma neurofilament light chain (NfL), a
biomarker of neurodegeneration, and outlined the types of evidence that would be required for NfL to support an
accelerated approval. The FDA further advised that Neurizon may resubmit a request for Fast Track Designation
based on available data, and the Company is evaluating the timing of any resubmission.
Neurizon has also advanced its regulatory program, receiving Scientific Advice from the European Medicines Agency
(EMA) regarding the development pathway for NUZ-001 in ALS. The advice provides clarity on the requirements for
potential marketing authorisation in the European Union (EU). The EMA advised that an additional Phase 3 study
of at least 18 months’ duration, incorporating participants from multiple European centres, would ordinarily be
required to support a European marketing authorisation application for ALS. The EMA also noted that reliance on
a single pivotal study could be considered where the results provide “particularly compelling” evidence, supported
by additional confirmatory evidence.

www.neurizon.com
Suite 2, Level 11, 385 Bourke Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000 Tel: +61 3 9692 7222
Accordingly, results from the ongoing HEALEY ALS Platform Trial (Regimen I) may provide an opportunity for
Neurizon to further engage with the EMA regarding the clinical evidence required to support a potential European
marketing authorisation application.
The US remains Neurizon’s immediate commercial priority, with the Company focused on successfully completing
HEALEY Regimen I and progressing NUZ-001 towards FDA approval. The EMA feedback provides important guidance
for the Company’s European development strategy, which will be further assessed following the availability of
HEALEY topline results.
HEALEY Regimen I remains fully enrolled and on track, with topline results expected in late Q2 CY2027.
Expanded Access Program:
Neurizon announced that the NIH had awarded a multi-year grant (Project Number 1U01NS153995-01) to fund an
Expanded Access Program for NUZ-001 in ALS. The EAP will provide access to NUZ-001 for up to 200 people living
with ALS in the US who are otherwise ineligible for clinical trials, for a treatment period of up to 96 weeks.
Continuation of the EAP beyond the HEALEY topline results is contingent on a positive trial outcome.
The Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS at Mass General Brigham is the prime grant recipient and will lead clinical
and operational execution across approximately 20 ALS clinical sites, including sites participating in the HEALEY ALS
Platform Trial, together with a national virtual site designed to extend access to people living in rural and
underserved areas across all 50 US states. Neurizon is a subawardee and is the regulatory sponsor and IND holder,
with its supply of NUZ-001 supported through its long-term supply agreement with Elanco Animal Health.
Importantly, the EAP is fully funded through the NIH award, which provides for EAP-related drug supply,
manufacturing, and specified regulatory, safety monitoring and operational costs associated with Neurizon’s
participation. The EAP is therefore non-dilutive to shareholders, while expanding the long-term safety database for
NUZ-001 and collecting survival, biomarker and real-world data from a broader ALS population. Start-up activities
are underway, with participant enrolment targeted to commence in Q3 FY2027 (Q1 CY2027). The EAP operates
alongside, and does not affect the conduct, randomisation or blinding of the Regimen I in the HEALEY ALS Platform
trial.
Commercial supply readiness and strategic partnerships:
Neurizon’s strategic relationship with Elanco Animal Health continued to strengthen during the quarter. The
Company announced the appointment of Dr Steve Nanchen, Senior Advisor, External Innovation at Elanco, as
Elanco’s representative Board Observer. Dr Nanchen brings nearly 20 years of experience across animal health and
pharmaceuticals, including leadership of global research programs and licensing transactions at Elanco and Novartis
Animal Health, and is one of the inventors of lotilaner (Credelio®).
His appointment succeeds Ms Justine Conway and further strengthens Neurizon's strategic relationship with Elanco
Animal Health, which supplies the active pharmaceutical ingredient used in NUZ-001 under a long-term supply
agreement.
The supply arrangement supports Neurizon's ongoing clinical development activities, including the NIH-funded
Expanded Access Program, and forms an important component of the Company's preparations for potential future
regulatory and commercial requirements.
Community, shareholder and industry engagement initiatives:
During the quarter, Neurizon continued to strengthen its engagement with the global ALS research, clinical and
patient advocacy communities through participation in scientific and industry conferences, including ALS Nexus,
and several community webinars hosted by the Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS. These activities provided
opportunities to share updates on the NUZ-001 clinical development program, engage with researchers, clinicians
and people living with ALS, and contribute to broader discussions on emerging ALS research.
The Company continued to actively engage with shareholders, institutional investors and the broader ALS
community throughout the quarter. On 29 July 2026, Neurizon hosted an in-person investor briefing in Melbourne,

where Interim Executive Chairman Mr Sergio Duchini provided an update on the Company’s progress and upcoming
milestones, followed by a Q&A session with the leadership team.
The Company also continued to pursue industry engagement and potential strategic collaboration opportunities
through participation in relevant biotechnology and partnering forums.
Neurizon also released its 2026 Annual Report on 25 August 2026, published video updates to shareholders
covering the Company’s Q4 FY2026 milestones and financial position, and participated in a Sharewise investor
webinar in September 2026.
Subsequent to the end of the reporting period, Neurizon released an updated investor presentation and hosted a
Leadership Roundtable webinar on 8 October 2026, featuring recently appointed CEO Dr Chris Bremer, Non-
Executive Chairman Mr Sergio Duchini and Chief Financial Officer Mr Dan O’Connell, followed by a live Q&A.
These activities supported the Company’s ongoing engagement with scientific, clinical, investor and patient
stakeholders, while increasing awareness of NUZ-001 and Neurizon’s upcoming value-defining clinical, regulatory
and corporate milestones among Australian and international investors and potential strategic partners.
Corporate and funding developments:
During the period, Neurizon announced the appointment of Dr Chris Bremer as CEO, following an extensive
international executive search. Dr Bremer brings over 20 years of international pharmaceutical and biotechnology
leadership experience, including approximately 20 years at Grünenthal, where his roles included Executive Vice
President, Early Products & Commercial Opportunities and Interim Chief Commercial Officer. He has executed more
than US$1Bn in licensing transactions and previously served as Chief Development Officer of Navigo Proteins and
founding CEO of GAIASO Theranostics. Dr Bremer commenced as CEO on 1 October 2026, at which time Mr Sergio
Duchini transitioned from Interim Executive Chairman to Non-Executive Chairman.
Neurizon continued to execute its capital management strategy during the quarter. The Company established a
strategic R&D financing facility of up to A$17.5m with the Dare Capital Loan Fund, secured solely against the
Company’s R&D Tax Incentive refund, with annual extension options covering the FY2027 and FY2028 claims.
Neurizon also completed an initial drawdown of ~A$8.3m in relation to its FY2026 R&D Tax Incentive refund. The
facility provides non-dilutive capital earned through the Company’s investment in eligible R&D activities, including
the HEALEY ALS Platform Trial, and reduces reliance on other sources of funding.
Neurizon completed the partial redemption of 1,000,000 convertible notes held by Obsidian for total consideration
of US$1.15m. The redemption completed on 14 September 2026, following which 750,000 convertible notes
remain on issue. During the quarter, and prior to the redemption, Obsidian converted 975,500 convertible notes
into 28,014,264 ordinary shares.
The Board considers the redemption an appropriate allocation of shareholder funds and consistent with its
disciplined approach to capital management and minimising dilution. The Company remains committed to
evaluating all available funding alternatives prior to any further drawdown under the convertible note facility, and
continues to review its funding structure. Neurizon remains fully funded through the HEALEY topline readout and
through to completion of the study.

Cashflow summary:
During the quarter, Neurizon continued to fund the advancement of its clinical development program for NUZ-001,
with particular focus on the HEALEY ALS Platform Trial. Neurizon had net cash outflows from operating activities of
$7.9m during the quarter and held $11.4m in cash and cash equivalents as at 30 September 2026.
Total operating expenditure for the quarter was higher compared with the prior quarter, predominantly reflecting
increased research and development spend, which was focused on the Phase 2/3 HEALEY ALS Platform Trial.
Consistent with the Neurizon’s deliberate approach to limiting expenditure not directly focused on advancing or
de-risking the trial, pre-clinical and other R&D spend was very modest during the quarter.
Labour costs were modestly higher in the current quarter, reflecting the payment of executive incentive payments
related to FY2026 and the settlement of payments to the former CEO, including accrued rights on termination of
his employment on 14 July 2026. Despite slightly higher one off costs associated with the CEO recruitment and end
of financial year compliance expenditure, administrative and corporate costs were materially aligned with the prior
quarter, which was 25% lower than the average run rate for the prior three quarters. Maintaining this lower
administrative cost level, despite the identified one-off costs, reflects Neurizon’s continued focus on disciplined
cost management.
Net cash inflows from financing activities of $6.7m primarily reflected the initial drawdown of approximately $8.3m
under the Dare Capital R&D financing facility, partially offset by the payment of US$1.15m (~ A$1.6m) for the
redemption of 1,000,000 convertible notes held by Obsidian.
Payments to related parties and their associates during the quarter, which are outlined in Section 6 of the
accompanying Appendix 4C to this quarterly activity report, were $202k. These payments included non-executive
director fees and consulting fees as well as salary (including superannuation) for the Interim Executive Chairman.
A copy of the Appendix 4C – Quarterly Cash Flow Report for the quarter is attached.

* On 31 July 2026, the Company executed a strategic R&D financing facility for up to $17.5
million with the Dare Capital Loan Fund secured against the Company’s R&D Tax Incentive
refund.
The facility is a secured loan, with the Dare holding first-ranking security solely over the
Company’s R&D Tax Incentive refund. An initial drawdown of approximately $8.3 million was
made on 10 August 2026. Interest accrues at 1.25% per month, capitalising monthly, with
repayment triggered upon receipt of the R&D Tax Incentive refund from the Australian Taxation
Office, with all outstanding amounts to be repaid by 31 December 2026 (subject to market
standard extension terms). The Facility carries no establishment fee and includes annual
extension options to support the Company’s FY2027 and FY2028 R&D Tax Incentive claims.
** On 23 December 2025, Neurizon entered into a convertible note facility agreement with
Obsidian Global GP, LLC, a New York-based investment manager, providing for aggregate
funding of up to A$20 million over a two-year term from the date of first purchase. The first
tranche of A$5 million was drawn on 27 February 2026, resulting in the issue of 3,575,500
convertible notes. Of the convertible notes issued, 1,825,000 have been converted into ordinary
Shares and 1,000,000 notes were redeemed by the company for US1.15 million on 9 September
2026. As a result 750,000 notes remain outstanding.
The convertible note facility has remaining capacity of up to A$15 million that can be drawn in
subsequent tranches, with a minimum of approximately six months required between each
drawdown. Converted amounts are not available to be redrawn. The Company has discretion
over whether and when to draw further tranches, consistent with its broader capital management
strategy of evaluating all available funding options before drawing additional debt.
